The Allentown Neighborhood Improvement Zone Development Authority (ANIZDA) oversees and manages the Neighborhood Improvement Zone (NIZ) – a special district created by state law that is being utilized to encourage development and revitalization in center city Allentown and along the western side of the Lehigh River.
The NIZ is a powerful economic development program that has spurred over $1 billion dollars in redevelopment activity utilizing a unique tax incentive and financing tool.
